The InvisiMod technique is a method for implementing electronic circuit upgrades on a PCB without the need for wires. This is achieved by creating an overlay circuit board that incorporates all the necessary tracks into its design. By utilizing this PCB modification approach, each board undergoes an identical change, which helps reduce inspection efforts, enhance quality, and prolong the lifespan of the boards, guaranteed for the remainder of their working life.
This is an example of a complete PCB modification that adds all the missing ground connections from a fully populated board. Most InvisiMods utilize the InvisiMod technique for local changes or, as shown in the example to the left, are designed to avoid specific areas of the assembly. Adding this design still allows for electronic circuit upgrades and ensures that In Circuit Testing can be performed unhindered.

This modification is only 0.1mm thick - as are most single layer InvisiMods. It is fitted onto the assembled PCB, utilizing the InvisiMod technique to pick up power from one side of the capacitors and deliver it to the correct leg of the IC that needs it. Most of these electronic circuit upgrades can be fitted either by our skilled staff or by training yours to fit a kit of parts provided by us.
Historically, the company used to repair burns by reconstructing every track on every layer. However, with the InvisiMod technique, we can now perform electronic circuit upgrades and reconstruct all the damaged areas in a more cost-effective manner through efficient PCB modification.

Wiring under a BGA can be nearly impossible when reliability is crucial for electronic circuit upgrades. However, the InvisiMod technique offers a solution by allowing for the rerouting of some or all of the connections as needed. These new connections can be integrated anywhere else on the PCB, facilitating effective PCB modification.

The InvisiMod technique allows for the addition of the smallest links, creating connections for devices both big and small. This photo also illustrates the PCB modification by isolating one pin of the larger device, which eliminates the need for track cutting, making it ideal for electronic circuit upgrades.
